There are times in our lives, such as the birth of a child or illness when our daily routine is disrupted.
The body of believers at Park Forest Baptist Church likes to minister to those families by providing some
meals during recovery. Tracy Ross has served as our Meal Ministry Coordinator for the last 6 years. We
appreciate the excellent job Tracy has done with meal schedules, and all aspects of the arrangements for
these families. Tracy, Thank You!!! Meal Ministry Coordinator
Tracy is stepping down from this ministry at the end of the year. We need somebody to take her place as
Meal Ministry Coordinator. If you are interested in knowing more about this position please contact
Tracy or Joan Schrock (Deacon) or the church secretary. Will you supply a meal?
If you would like your name to be added to the list of those who will supply a meal in the time of
need contact, Tracy, Joan or Barb.

Worship Leaders
A BIG thank you to Rick and Jane Auhl for all they have done in the service to the Lord and this church.
We are sad to see them stepping down from the worship ministry but trust that God has great thing in store
for them. Thank you for your years of faithful service.
THANK YOU!
We would like to thank everyone who came out to help on Saturday at the Church work day. Looking back over
the past 8 months, there have been many things tossed, cleaned up, spruced up, painted, repaired, light
bulbs changed, women's bathroom renovated, etc. It has been a blessing to see many of you pitch in and help!
It will be wonderful to get to the point where we can maintain things on a regular basis. We need everyone
to help take care of the building. If you see something that needs repaired or you have a suggestion or if
you would like to volunteer, please let one of the deacons know. We will try to keep you posted through
the newsletter of the projects we are working on.

Love Our Church
We are excited to tell you that we will now remodel the men’s bathroom. Again, please excuse the mess as we
begin preparations over the next 2 months. Below is a breakout of the things we need to do prior to the
installation of the new items.
1. Prep work prior to Sunday, August 15th. These items will be scheduled at different times throughout
July/August. The major things to be done are:
Remove shelf, trim, etc. Remove old flooring Patch walls/sand/paint Wash walls down Remove carpet and glue Cut bottom of drywall Paint walls/closet in small room Sand/prime/paint inside closet door
2. Sunday, August 15th – after Church
Remove bathroom stall partitions Remove toilets and old plumbing Remove sinks, counter top and old plumbing Finish patching walls/prime walls Layout partitions in sanctuary
Monday, August 16th – Paint walls
Tuesday, August 17th – Friday, August 20th
Install tile, bathroom partitions, toilets, cabinet, counter, etc.
Please sign up on the “Men’s Bathroom Remodeling” Sheet at the information booth in the lobby if you are able to
help with any of the above projects. We will be in contact with you once we determine a schedule. Thank you.

Bulletin Board Project
We have some exciting ideas for bulletin boards in the church lobby. The basic design has been planned.
We would like to create each bulletin board similar to a scrapbook page.
We are planning a day, Friday, July 16th, to work on the bulletin boards. 10:00 AM– 2PM
We would like to invite YOU to help us.
If design or scrapbooking is not your forte there will be things you can cut, glue, staple, etc. We want you to
get involved.
Let Barb D. know you are willing to help on the 16th.
Eagle Scout Project
Some of you may have noticed the digging that was taking place behind the Church. Several months ago, the Deacons
approved an Eagle Scout Project that Matt McCobin, then high school freshman, presented to install five lamp posts
to the Youth Group campsite. An Eagle Scout Project is a key part in achieving the rank of Eagle in Boy Scouts.
It has to benefit the community, and the one going for Eagle is expected to lead the project. We thought Matt did
a wonderful job presenting the project and wanted to support him. We were also thrilled that the Church would be
the beneficiary of his project. Here’s an update from Matt.
I have been working on my Eagle Project the past several months here at the church. I am installing five
lampposts down to the Youth Group campsite behind the church. I wanted my Eagle Project to be with the church,
because that’s a big way I can help give back. So far, I have had a car wash fundraiser raising approximately
$400. Companies have donated wire and also gave discounts on the light fixtures. The wire has been put in the
conduit in the ditch, and the ditch is mostly backfilled. We still have to finish backfilling the trench,
installing the lampposts, wiring it to the church, and reseeding the grass area. I will be working on getting
the project done by the end of the summer. If anyone in the church would like to help out, whether it be by
offering their time, skills, or donating money (need approximately another $400), it would be much appreciated,
and would go a long way. If you would like to help out, please contact me. My email is mem35@scasd.org.
While Matt had the hole dug to install the cable for his Eagle Scout project, the Deacons authorized and
finished installation of 530 feet of buried electric wire incased in 2 inch conduit. This wire runs from the
electrical panel box in the pantry to near the storage sheds, so we are able to have electricity in that area.
Our plan is to someday have a pavilion for picnics, worship services, and celebrations in that area of our
property. The ditch, back filling and grass seeding was donated by Jim Rogers of Nittany Mountain Excavation.
Special thanks to Dave Palmer for his work on the project and to the Centre Region Code enforcers, John Hoffman
and Ron Soltis.
Mom’s Bible Study
Our Mom’s Bible Study, MotherWise, was a hit! We had many Moms join us each week for encouragement,
mentoring and fellowship.
We made new friendships and strengthened old ones. We were all challenged in a number of areas in our
lives. We found Biblical answers to many of our questions about marriage, children and work. In addition to
the Bible study, we learned to improve our mothering skills and found helpful mothering tips designed for moms
of all ages.
We ended our Mom’s Bible Study spring session with a family pool party. We all had a great time, late into
the evening. The kids (and parents) enjoyed swimming, playing in the yard, roasting marshmallows and chasing
fireflies. It was the perfect way to end an amazing Bible Study!
We will be starting a new Mom’s Bible Study in the fall, for Moms in all stages of life.
More information to come soon. We pray that you will be able to join us!

June 17th we purchased a 1999 Thomas bus. The bus is debt free because of your generosity. We would like to
thank everyone for the support. The teens enjoyed the ride to Camp Lake Ann. We are expecting other ministry
